Piano Book Club

Description

Join us as we "read" through a piano literature book together! We'll be learning four songs every session - one from each time period (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Contemporary) from the collection edited by Jane McGrath entitled, "Encore! Standard Literature that Motivates: Book 3" (Alfred Publishing). You can purchase the book here. You are welcome to use other editions for each piece if you prefer. Please bring your music to each meeting. There is no cost to participate.

Where and When

We will meet at West Michigan Piano  (3600 29th Street SE) at 9:30 am on the following dates:

October 21, 2022

 January 20, 2023

April 21, 2023

What to expect

At our October Book Club meeting, one teacher will present the four pieces to be studied in the coming session.  At subsequent meetings, participants will have the opportunity to perform one or more pieces they learned (optional), and will be able to discuss them with the group. Then the next four pieces will be presented for the next quarter.
